Modern bench seating from Maglin melds strong shapes, warm wood and concave comfort.
Maglin Site Furniture announces the launch of Blox bench seating. Inspired by the strong, angular shapes of Brutalist architecture, Blox leverages simple forms and profiles to create a durable bench with a seat shaped for comfort.
The soft side of Blox comes from responsibly harvest Douglas Fir that offers a sweet spot of strength, comfort, and character. The wood is refined into wide-plank seats with a concave shape that supports every sitter. An all-steel frame provides a solid base with a minimalist vibe that fits perfectly in public spaces.
“Blox reflects our belief that bold forms can still feel welcoming,” says Ian McAskile, CEO of Maglin Site Furniture. “By complementing a brutalist-inspired silhouette with one of the strongest softwoods available, Blox balances visual substance with stay-awhile appeal.”
Blox comes in backed, backless, and stool configurations. Designers have the choice of slats that run left-to-right (LR) or front-to-back (FB). Backed and backless benches are also available with or without arms, for accessible installations.
Blox is designed to prioritize damage protection. Benches are raised off the ground with stainless steel feet, and Maglin’s superior coating helps prevent frame rusting while delivering a clean finish in 18 available colors.
Reflecting a commitment to responsible manufacturing and transparency, Maglin provides Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) documentation for all Blox bench seating. This resource provides designers and site planners with verified data regarding the collection’s environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.
