For more than fifteen years, Sakura House has given families in Oxford County exceptional end-of-life care, in a building that started as someone else’s gift: a 12,000-square-foot home donated by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada in 2005, renovated by VON Oxford into a ten-room hospice by 2009.

Maglin’s contribution continues that same pattern of community generosity: Battery chairs and lounge tables, donated for the garden courtyard, in orange and blue bright enough to hold their own against the stone facade and quiet plantings around them. They’re movable and storable by design, out in the garden through the seasons families can use it and put away for the winter — furniture built for a place where every visit matters and none of them look the same.
