Design Flexibility for Modern Work
When Canderel, property managers at Stantec Tower in Edmonton, set out to revitalize their outdoor amenity space, their goal was clear: create a durable, design-forward rooftop terrace that supports wellness and connection. The Maglin team collaborated directly with Canderel on space planning and product selection to extend the tower’s interior elegance outdoors. The redesigned terrace offers a cohesive, high-performance environment that reflects the tower’s architectural presence and the tenants’ needs for flexibility and comfort.
Design Flexibility comes through a combination of fixed and movable furniture, allowing tenants to adapt the space to any need. Relaxed seating zones, anchored by the adaptable Pixel Collection and 720 Chaise Lounges, establish calm, defined social spaces looking out over Edmonton’s ICE District. Lighter, movable pieces like FORO Chairs and Tables, as well as Ogden Café Tables offer flexible layouts for individuals or small groups. For larger gatherings, long 1050 Series Tables provide the ideal surface for collaborative meetings and team lunches.
Maglin’s collections offer the versatility to mix and match a wide range of products while maintaining a unified aesthetic. Lexicon Waste & Recycling units maintain cleanliness and order while blending seamlessly into the rooftop terrace design. 1500 Series Planters provide greenery and seasonal blooms. Shade is integrated directly into the design through ROMA Sun Shades configured with the modular seating. A unified material palette of Corten and Reseda Green powdercoats, combined with wood surfaces, brings immediate warmth and continuity. Each element was selected for its visual appeal and proven endurance in the face of challenging Edmonton weather.
