University of Nebraska
Since 1869, the City of Lincoln has been home to the University of
Nebraska. Originally built for technical and agricultural studies,
the university now offers more than 50 specialized degree choices.
In the spring of 2003, the new Van Brunt Visitors Center and Mary
Riepma Ross Media Art Center opened offering two state-of-the-art
auditoriums, both designated for film and video screenings as well
as offices for staff, a research library and a film and video
archive. As part of the new construction the entire campus also
gained a number of new seating amenities.
