Artscape Wychwood Barns, once home to the Wychwood TTC Streetcar Repair Barns has been transformed into an innovative, multi-million dollar arts and environmental center.

The Barns is expected to be the first heritage building refurbishment project in Canada with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Canada Certification. To comply with the established guidelines by the Canada Green Building Council, the construction of Artscape Wychwood Barns must demonstrate environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

 
 
 
 
The Planning Partnership
Established in 1995, The Planning Partnership is a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm based in Toronto. Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture and Communications are an integral part of their business. The Planning Partnerships work includes developing large scale communities, streetscape plans and open space strategies, park and plaza designs, public and private sector projects and have designed and facilitated over 200 workshops and design charrettes.

Artscape - Owner / Developer Artscape Wychwood Barns
Established in 1986, Artscape is a not-for-profit enterprise dedicated to culture-led regeneration and city-building through the arts. Artscape's work includes developing and managing creative buildings, building creative neighborhoods, and designing strategies and tools to advance creative cities. Previously, Artscape played a major role in the revitalization of the Distillery Historic District, West Queen West, and Liberty Village as well as creating Artscape Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands.
