Harbor Beach
Harbor Beach, Michigan
The Harbor Beach Project was initiated to improve the status of the M-25 (street) and the overall appearance of downtown Harbor Beach, Michigan.
The project scope included the complete reconstruction of the M-25 from the south city limit to the north city limit. The Harbor Beach streetscape also received a face-lift with new pedestrian benches and trash receptacles manufactured by Maglin Furniture. Maglin modified the design of the MLB590 bench and the MLWR200-20 trash receptacle to allow for the installation of custom plaques. The addition of Maglin's dome top lid with self-closing door to the MLWR200-20 enhances the features of the trash receptacle and limits the amount
of rain water within.
Kalin Construction Co., Inc., the prime Contractor on the project was responsible for the coordination of subcontractors and overall project management.
Wade-Trim Engineering (Bay City) is the city engineer for Harbor Beach. Their role in the project was to prepare the plans and specifications for the M-25 reconstruction project that included streetscape enhancements. Wade-Trim worked with the City to secure the enhancement grant, prepare the plans and make recommendations on the materials.
